The Fort Assiniboine Public Library is a school-housed public library. The present day library was constructed in 1988. Prior to this new construction, the library was the size of a regular classroom and public patrons had to walk through the school to get to it.
This new library was designed with a separate public entrance and large windows which creates a nice bright area for visitors/staff to relax or work.

Our municipality, Woodlands County, established the Woodlands County Library Board in order to bring library services to all of its residents. The Woodlands County Library Board consists of five (5) members, two (2) of which are municipal councilors. Four (4) board meetings are required each fiscal year.
